People make taking control of their life very complicated. You can take control whenever you decide to take control. That means dropping all of the bullshit excuses you give yourself while indulging in all of those outside distractions. People have plenty of them.
The world has turned itself into one huge pity party. Especially with things like social media, YouTube and Facebook etc. People are given an open stage to bitch, whine, moan and complain 24 hours a day. The world is full of people who think their life is so much worse when compared to everybody else. People don’t know what “having it bad” really means. Having it bad is when you are 10 years old with terminal cancer. Having it bad is losing a job and not being able to get another one and can no longer support your family. Having it bad is NOT losing your cell phone or accidentally dropping it in the toilet. Most people take to the internet to complain about hitting too much traffic or having a hard day at work. If you have your health and a roof over your head, forget about your cracked windshield and “FML’s” because you don’t have it rough.
No matter how badly you mess up today, tomorrow will always come. You are given your entire life to change the things about yourself that you need to change. That however, is taken for granted. People lay their heads on their pillows at night to get their beauty rest and they have this grand plan for the next day. When that alarm clock goes off, the grand plan is gone. They go back to their distractions and weak state of mind and forget about all of the great things they were going to do on this new day.
Stupidity is doing the same thing over and over again while expecting a different result. People fail themselves because they make stupid decisions. They know the difference between right and wrong but they are too weak in their own mind to break a bad habit. That brings me to another point. Your mind. Why do people need to ask other people for advice on the decisions they are about to make? Weren’t you born with your own mind? Do you not have a brain? You can take the advice of others all you want but until you start making decisions on your own, you will never take control of your life. What works for others, may not work for you. Are you a puppet? Do you want to go through life living with the results that others have given to you? Even if you make a wrong decision, you will never learn through others, you will learn through trial and error. That goes with everything you do. So you can throw all of your college degrees out the window because you will never learn life experiences in a classroom.
I have no clue how someone can live their life without passion. If you have something to be passionate about, taking control will come naturally. You will know what work has to be done to achieve that goal without having to ask anybody, ever. Last time, don’t waste your time asking somebody how to do something. JUST GO OUT AND DO IT. The key is to stay focused and not let outside temptations distract you. Other people are the worst thing to have around because they will corrupt you. If you are focused on taking control of your health, being around people who have already convinced themselves otherwise when you go out to eat is not a good idea. You wouldn’t take advice from a doctor who smokes would you? So don’t put yourself in situations where you may give into an offset until you have figured out how you are going to control it.
If you don’t want to become addicted to something, don’t start. That is the easiest way to quit smoking. Don’t start. If you don’t want to become an alcoholic, same thing. Don’t start drinking. Those are probably two of the hardest things to get over. I wouldn’t know because I have taken the advice that I just gave you, I didn’t start. To be honest though, I think it is pathetic when somebody can not control their actions. Especially when you know if you do it long enough, you can kill yourself. I don’t see how either smoking or drinking is a good idea unless your passion is to die. If that is the case you can get off my website right now because you are not welcomed here.
I know plenty of guys who have lost their lives in war, at such a young age. They would gladly take your life. When you show blatant disregard for your life, you are spitting in their face. They died so you could live your life. Not destroy it.
Life is my passion and I take offense to anybody who leads a self-destructive lifestyle. If you came here looking for the answer on how to take control of your life, I already gave it to you.
Don’t ask other people.
